Zeidel & Associates Supports Trestle Studio’s Acquisition of Lakeway Resort & Spa

The firm represented Trestle Studio, a boutique real estate investment and development firm, which in May 2026, acquired Lakeway Resort & Spa, a landmark waterfront resort with 11 acres on Lake Travis in Texas in partnership with Sopris Capital. The firm was asked to draft and negotiate an interim hotel management agreement with the outgoing operator, a hotel management agreement for Trestle, which would serve as the new operator, and a development agreement, pursuant to which Trestle would oversee the planned extensive renovation.

The firm was tasked with drafting new forms of management and development agreements for Trestle, that recognized both its friendly partnership with Sopris but also its maturation as a hotel management and branding company. The parties were able to quickly come to terms on the agreements in order to facilitate an upcoming closing date.

Trestle Studio plans to restore and reposition the 168-room property as a boutique destination that honors the property’s relationship to the local community.
