Robin Zeidel is a skilled transactional attorney who brings depth and breadth of experience in the commercial real estate and hospitality sectors to her clients, having worked in-house for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and for national Am Law 200 law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Robin founded Zeidel & Associates P.C. to provide clients with the capabilities and benefits of working with a large firm with the service and pricing of a boutique. Her practice is exclusively transactional, with a focus on all sectors of commercial real estate (office, industrial, and retail) and hospitality, including hotels, restaurants, and bars. She is retained by national, regional, and local companies to handle development, sales, acquisitions, and leasing deals, as well as agreements with architecture firms, construction companies, and other vendors. Robin also regularly crafts and negotiates hotel management, franchise, and branding agreements, as well as operating agreements for food and beverage, spas, and other hotel amenities.
Prior to establishing Zeidel & Associates in 2010, Robin served as Assistant General Counsel at Fortune 500 global hospitality company Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Marriott International. At the time, the company owned, managed and franchised more than 1,000 hotels worldwide under the brands Sheraton, Westin, W, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Le Méridien, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, and Element.
Robin began her legal career in the New York office of Stroock and other preeminent New York City firms, where she practiced real estate law, representing owners, developers, retailers, office tenants, lenders, and borrowers in a variety of transactions.
Robin is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. She also serves on the Steering Committee of Female Founders in Hospitality, a global network of entrepreneurial women who are building companies in the travel and hospitality industry and is on the board of the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorney and the UJA Federation, Westchester Business & Professional Division. She previously served on the Steering Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Real Estate Committee.
Robin has been named for inclusion in the New York Metro Super Lawyers in Real Estate Law and has earned an AV Preeminent® Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating awarded in the legal industry.
Robin graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 1997 and obtained her B.A. cum laude at Vassar College in 1990. She lives in Westchester County, New York, with her husband and two children.
