Robin Zeidel is the founder and owner of Zeidel & Associates P.C. She handles a wide spectrum of transactional work, with a particular focus on real estate, development, operations and hospitality, including acquisitions and sales, office and retail leasing, architecture and construction, hotel management, and services and branding agreements of all kinds. She has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and has handled numerous transactions involving hotels, resorts, bars, restaurants and spas on behalf of both owners and operators. Ms. Zeidel is a member of the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association. She has received an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale-Hubbell®.
Prior to founding the firm in 2010, Ms. Zeidel held the position of Assistant General Counsel at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. During her tenure at Starwood, Ms. Zeidel was appointed to the Steering Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Real Estate Committee. Ms. Zeidel began her legal career at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan’s New York office, and practiced real estate there and at other preeminent New York City firms, representing owners, developers, retailers, office tenants, lenders and borrowers in a broad variety of transactions. Ms. Zeidel graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School and obtained her B.A.. from Vassar College in 1990. She lives in Westchester County, New York, with her husband and two children.
Marcia S. Helbling joined Zeidel & Associates P.C. in 2015 as Senior Counsel. She is involved in all aspects of the firm’s practice with special emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements including vendor agreements, licensing agreements, leases, advertising agreements and hotelier services with a focus on operational contracts, design, construction and management issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Helbling was in the Real Estate Group at Stroock handling a broad range of transactions including financing, leasing, construction matters and sales with a particular focus on representing cooperative housing corporations and condominium associations. Ms. Helbling has extensive experience drafting all corporate documents associated with the running of co-op and condominium boards, including by-laws, proprietary leases and rules and regulations, as well as providing counsel with respect to all aspects of day to day operations involving shareholder disputes and management issues. Ms. Helbling has represented some of the most prestigious co-op and condominium addresses in New York City.
Ms. Helbling began her legal career at Rosenberg & Estis, PC, where she handled various real estate litigation matters in New York City and State Courts and the United States Bankruptcy Court. Ms. Helbling graduated from New York Law School and received her B.S. from Binghamton University. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Helbling lives in Westchester County, New York with her family where she is an active member of several not for profit boards in her community.
Tracie H. Cohen is Senior Counsel at Zeidel & Associates P.C., focusing on all aspects of the firm’s practice. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Cohen worked for Moses & Singer LLP for most of her career, handling a wide variety of commercial transactions focused on commercial office, restaurant and retail leasing and purchases and sales of commercial property.
Ms. Cohen spent a portion of her career at Paul Hasting LLP, primarily in its Tokyo, Japan office, leading financings secured by investors’ interest in non-performing loan portfolios. Previously she was foreign counsel for the Tokyo based law office of Nishimura & Partners, handling a variety of corporate, hospitality and real estate matters for both Japanese and U.S. clients. Before entering law school, Ms. Cohen worked as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler, in his Washington, D.C. office, specializing in public buildings and grounds, aviation and funding for the arts.
Ms. Cohen graduated from Fordham University School of Law and earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She grew up in New York City and now resides in Westchester with her husband and children. Ms. Cohen is an active member of the executive committee on the Board of The Picture House Regional Film Center, a nonprofit organization promoting the preservation of a 1921 movie house and supporting availability of arts and culture to diverse audiences through film and education programming.
Cherelle Vasudevan comes to Zeidel & Associates from Glaceau’s Vitamin Water Creative Marketing and Project Management department where she managed the legal review approval and accounting/finance and budget processes for the Creative Marketing teams across brands. Prior to Vitamin Water, Ms. Vasudevan worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts as a Sr. Project Coordinator in the Real Estate Development Group. Ms. Vasudevan is a graduate of Iona College with a B.A. in Information Science. She is a member of the PMI (Project Management Institute) and a certified United States Swim Official. Ms. Vasudevan lives in Westchester County, New York with her family where she is an active member of The Woman’s Club of White Plains.
